Aleutian Warhawk

A commission of a P-40 Warhawk as stationed in the Aleutian front in WWII. Sketched from a reference photo and colored in a palette from a second photo. Pigma Microns, Copic markers, Rapidiograph inks. I used the color-picker in Clip Studio to bypass my red/green/brown colorblindness- it was akin to making my own color-by-number painting. I'd click an area and sketch an outline onto drawing of that are, then color it. I also selected color gamuts to cover more ground at a single time.
